In a statement to L’Orient Today, the US Embassy in Lebanon confirmed that “it is the US government policy that all Federal Reserve paper designs remain legally valid for payments, regardless of when they were issued. This policy covers all denominations of Federal Reserve paper, from 1914 to Nowadays”.
