Vaccination campaign kicks off in prisons

The Alwaleed Foundation announced the following in a statement:

“After the announcement of the vaccination campaign for prisoners, security personnel and the medical staff working in prisons, with the support of the foundation and in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the vaccination campaign kicked off today in Roumieh Central Prison to avoid the spread of the epidemic into prisons.”

The process was supervised by the Advisor for Prison Affairs, Brigadier Fares Fares, who thanked the Al-Walid Humanitarian Foundation, the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, and a number of agencies that were present during the vaccination process, including the Lebanese Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders and the Prisons Medical Staff. Brigadier Fares also announced that the campaign will kick off tomorrow in Al-Qobbeh prison located in Tripoli and then in Zahleh prison.
