Vaccination priority for the educational sector after the health one.

Minister of Education and Higher Education Tariq Al-Majzoub and Minister of Public Health Hamad Hassan held a long meeting to study the health situation and prepare for a return to integrated learning when the health status permits, based on the national plan issued by the Ministerial Committee of the Corona Committee. The meeting of the two ministers came as the culmination of a series of meetings held by the working teams in the two ministries to study the health situation and prepare for returning to the blended learning when the health situation permits. During the meetings, Al-Majzoub stressed on securing the vaccine for the administrative and educational bodies, and for students , and asked the Minister of Health to reassess the priorities in terms of giving priority to the educational sector after the health sector.

In addition, meetings were held with the World Health Organization, international organizations and committees that follow school health in the Doctors Syndicate to discuss the health situation and ways of cooperation.

The administrative and educational units in the ministry have intensified their meetings to prepare the plan for the gradual return of blended learning, with the aim of completing the school year and conducting official exams within a special mechanism that takes into account the exceptional situation . meanwhile the Educational Center for Research and Development has re-studied curricula reduction as previously planned.

Pending the determination of the Ministry of Health for setting a date the for the start of the vaccine for the educational sector, with the hope that infections will decrease and the pressure on the health sector will be reduced, the decision was taken not to start blended learning in the second phase of the national plan to reopen sectors, provided that the Ministry of Education announces its plan regarding returning to blended learning .
