Samir Geagea, the leader of the “Lebanese Forces” Party, announced the re-appointment of MP Shawki Daccache for one of the Kesrouan Maronite seats, saying that “every vote that goes to the “Free Patriotic Movement” and “Hezbollah” signifies an extension of its misery. The legislative elections provide a serious chance to replace the existing majority.”
Geagea’s words came during a retreat organized by the party’s Kesrouan coordinator, in cooperation with the Elections Authority, with the participation of MP Daccache, and the party’s Secretary General, Dr. Ghassan Yared, Assistant Secretary for Regional Affairs, Joseph Abou Jaoudeh, Assistant Secretary for Administration Affairs, Walid Haidamos, and Assistant Secretary-General, Dr. Wissam Raji, district coordinator Dr Charbel Zgheib and the Elections Authority and a number of members of the Central Council, the Coordination Committee, the heads of the centers.
Geagea emphasized that change will only occur if all of its components work together. “Big slogans are being used to fool the resistance’s audience so that it may go back to initiatives that have nothing to do with Lebanon, the Lebanese, their interests, or the resistance public,” he said.
