Acting Assistant Secretary of State Joey Hood stressed that the United States continues in exerting pressure on politicians in Lebanon.

He pointed out that “Lebanon’s politicians must form a government immediately if they want to appear as real leaders.”

Hood said via a television interview on “Al-Hadath”: “We will not allocate funds to help Lebanon without seeing fundamental changes.”

He added, “The Lebanese army is the stability pillar of the country.”
