“We hope that there will be no disruption to state institutions,” says Abou Zeid

Former MP Amal Abou Zeid, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Russian Affairs, commented today on the resumption of Council of Ministers work, tweeting the following:

“Resuming cabinet sessions through the return of ministers of Hezbollah and Amal Movement to participate in the work of the cabinet comes in response to the President of the Republic’s repeated calls to give priority to the sense of patriotism over anything else and to see the sufferings of the people…Our hope is that there will be no disruption to state institutions, that the budget will be approved as soon as possible, and that the economic and financial recovery plan will begin, which is the obligatory passageway for negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, and to implement reforms and obtain aid so as to enable the country to emerge from its inherited crises.”
