Weather forecast for today and upcoming days

The Department of Meteorology at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected the weather tomorrow to be clear to a few clouds, with an additional rise in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, where they exceed their seasonal rates and the humidity remains low, and winds are sometimes active, which increases the risk of fires in the regions. We also advise against prolonged exposure to the sun at noon and to drink a lot of water.

The bulletin stated the following:

– The general situation: hot air masses dominate Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin, and they will peak on Monday with temperatures above their seasonal rates, and their impact will diminish as of next Wednesday.
(The average temperature for the month of August on the coast ranges between 25 and 33 degrees).
We advise against prolonged exposure to the sun at noon and warn of the danger of fires in wooded areas.

Weather expected in Lebanon:

Saturday: few clouds with active winds, especially in the south of the country, and high temperatures, especially in the interior and mountainous regions, with low humidity, which increases the risk of fires in forested areas.

Sunday: Clear to a few clouds with an additional rise in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, where they exceed their seasonal rates, the humidity remains low, and the winds sometimes become active, which increases the risk of fires in forested areas.

Monday: A few clouds with the continued rise in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, while remaining unchanged on the coast with high humidity, which increases the feeling of heat with a constant warning of the danger of fires in the forested areas.

Tuesday: Few clouds with the onset of a decrease in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, and remain unchanged on the coast, and the humidity remains high, which increases the feeling of heat and the warning of the danger of fires in the forested areas remains.

-Expected temperatures on the coast from 24 to 36 degrees, over the mountains from 18 to 31 degrees, inland from 19 to 37 degrees.

-Surface wind: northwesterly to northeasterly during the day, easterly at night, active at times, speed between 15 and 40 km/hr.

-Visibility: Good overall.

– Relative humidity on the coast: between 60 and 75%.

– Sea condition: waves average to wavy. Water surface temperature: 30°C.

– Atmospheric pressure: 1009 HPA, which is equivalent to: 757 mm Hg.
