The Department of Meteorology at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected the weather tomorrow to be partly cloudy with a decrease in temperatures, especially at the mountains, without any significant modification on the coast so that it remains above its seasonal rates. Winds are active sometimes and dense fog forms on the medium heights in the morning.
It was stated in the following bulletin:
The general situation: Hot and humid summer weather dominates the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, where the temperature reaches its peak today, Monday, which increases heat real feel because of high humidity. It remains the same till Wednesday, when temperatures become at their seasonal rates.
Note: (The average temperature on the coast for the month of July is between 24 and 32 degrees).
– Weather expected in Lebanon:
Monday: Partly cloudy, with temperatures remaining high, especially in the mountains and inland areas, and high humidity on the coast, which increases the feeling of heat, and dense fog forms on the middle heights in the evening, with warnings of forests’ fires
Tuesday: Partly cloudy with a decrease in temperatures, especially in the mountains, without any significant modification on the coast so that it remains above its seasonal rates, winds are sometimes active with dense fog forms on the medium heights in the morning.
Wednesday: partly cloudy with an additional and noticeable decrease in temperatures, especially in the interior regions, where they return to their seasonal rates, and winds are sometimes active and fog forms on the heights.
Thursday: Partly cloudy with an additional and slight decrease in temperature, and fog will form on the heights.
Coastal temperature is from 23 to 34 degrees, over the mountains from 19 to 28 degrees, in the interior from 20 to 39 degrees.
-Surface wind: northeasterly to northwesterly during the day, southwesterly at night, its speed is between 10 and 30 km/hr.
Visibility: Medium on the coast, worsens at medium heights due to fog.
