Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Charbel Wehbe, discussed bilateral relations with the Ambassador of Norway to Lebanon, Martin Yttervik. Norway being a member of the Security Council, discussions dealt with an array of files related to Lebanon and presented to the said Council, including the Secretary-General’s report on Resolution 1559, and the role the UNIFIL plays with the Lebanese Army to maintain stability and calm in southern Lebanon.

Minister Wehbe also received a delegation of the Artists Syndicate in Lebanon, who seek to inquire about the conditions of poet Samir Sfeir and the latest pdates on his situation. The delegation urged Minister Wehbe to follow up on the arrest case, and keep the syndicate informed of developments on an ongoing basis.
