The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon and Humanitarian Coordinator, Najat Rushdi, confirmed that “the support plan is humanitarian and aims to save people.”

In a radio interview, Rushdi said, “We hope that the government will work to implement the reforms required.”

She pointed out that “the international support is not a solution to the economic crisis, but rather carrying out reforms by the government, because humanitarian aid cannot replace the political solutions.”
