According to sources from “Al-Tayyar” (The Current) news outlet, a “reconciliatory atmosphere” prevailed overnight in the relations between the head of the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) and Member of Parliament, Gebran Bassil, and the MPs: Alan Aoun, Ibrahim Kanaan, Simon Abi Ramia, and Asaad Dergham. This resulted in their commitment to vote for former minister Jihad Azour in today’s session, reflecting their concern for the unity of the movement and in accordance with Christian consensus, despite their reservations about the financial policies contributed to by Azour.

As for Elias Bou Saab, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and member of the FPM bloc, he holds a different position from the four MPs.
