Media office of Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, denied in a statement “what Al-Akhbar newspaper reported this morning about his appointment of his brother, as head of the Security Institutions Monitoring Committee.”
The office stressed that “Minister Salam is keen, in any appointment he makes, to respect the efficiency factor first and foremost, within the observed balances.”
