The Minister of Health, Firas Abyad, confirmed that he is present, and the Ministry of Health is responsive to everyone who communicates with it.

He added in an interview with “Sawt Beirut International” regarding the issue of medicine, “For four months, the Lebanese have been tormented for not finding medicine in pharmacies. We searched for a solution to provide it, whether it is related to cancer medicines or chronic medicines. We are also looking for solutions to the issue of hospitalization.”

Abyad stressed that “there are no magic solutions in light of the difficult economic situation, and without large sums of money entering Lebanon, there will be no easy solution. From here, we are working to relieve the burden of the citizen within the possibilities available to us.”

Regarding the communication between Prime Minister Najib Mikati and the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, he replied, “We are in the midst of this communication, and we hope to increase the funds that are spent on the patient’s health.”

To those who called for him to resign, he directed, “I only believe in work, and I think that this is what matters to the citizens.”
