The President of the Lebanese Kataeb Party, Samy Gemayel, tweeted the following:

“Instead of enjoying seeing the country collapse as people are imprisoned in the misery of your corruption and selfishness, form a government now and hold elections right away. Don’t you have any pity for citizens? Your defeat will be as awful as people’s oppression.”
