The director of the Media Focal Point, Salem Zahran, tweeted on his Twitter account:

“The agreement on the legal framework for sanctions approved by the European Union is linked to one file, which is the formation of the government and the distribution of internal and justice ministries is not a coincidence.”

He added: “So, whoever stands in the way of the ministerial formation will enter the European sanctions list…”.

Zahran asked, “Will government get born out of sanctions?!”

It is noteworthy that the European Union had adopted today a framework for restrictive measures aimed at addressing the situation in Lebanon. This framework provides for the possibility of imposing sanctions on persons and entities responsible for undermining democracy or the rule of law in Lebanon.

وعليه،
من يقف في وجه التشكيل الوزاري سيدخل لائحة العقوبات الأوروبية..
فهل تولد الحكومة من خاصرة العقوبات؟!
