Ziad Hawat calls for taking action against “de-facto” forces

The Member of the Powerful Republican Bloc, MP Ziad Hawat, affirmed in a tweet: “A year ago, we addressed the question of smuggling and its devastating effects on Lebanon’s economy.”

Hawat posted a series of tweets via Twitter: “Why didn’t you take measures prior to banning the exports? Why didn’t you act before the Central Bank of Lebanon ran out of hard currency reserves? Don’t be distracted by the” scanner “, because the problem is political rather than technical.”

“Take the initiative to act against de-facto forces and have a clear political attitude, assign the Army to close the illegal borders. Take necessary measures against some well-known officers who are held accountable for facilitating smuggling operations. Only then can a serious solution be implemented,” Hawat concluded.
