Jumblatt will not approve on Franjieh.. Disruption and vacuum awaiting settlement

As the political conflict between the political parties over the upcoming presidential elections intensifies, each team is moving towards choosing its candidate for the presidency, and despite the divisions even among allies, and some going towards unprovoked candidates, the presidential election enters a vortex of vacuum, since no one is able to deliver his candidate and collecting votes that authorize him to reach Baabda.

In this context, well-informed sources reveal to the “Sawt Beirut International” website, that the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, and despite the meeting that took place at his residency with the Hezbollah delegation, he is not enthusiastic about the idea of Suleiman Franjieh reaching the presidency. And that he is going ahead with confirming his stance on any president affiliated with a political party. Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, demands also a president who satisfies all parties.

The sources stress that the harmony between Berri and Jumblatt, made Hezbollah lose the power to decide, and thus, lose the votes it was betting on giving to Franjieh, and this matter led to a shuffling of cards, after all parties lost the ability to deliver its candidate.

The sources pointed out that the Free Patriotic Movement is fighting the presidential battle alone, waiting for the picture to crystallize by the Lebanese Forces Party, whose leader Samir Geagea announced that he is ready to sacrifice, and agree with the sovereigns and the changers on a unified agreement for the presidency.

According to the sources, this means that a vacuum will inevitably come, and it is the most fortunate candidate until now, and Lebanon will enter the tunnel of obstruction in light of a severe economic crisis. Perhaps the disruption and vacuum will bring some international and regional settlement that will release the identity of the next president.
