This man saw the lottery tickets in front of him and decided to buy one to test his luck in the new year, only to be surprised by winning a million-dollar prize.

The winner was offered two options, either to receive annual payments for the award that would last for 30 years, or to receive the entire amount of $640,000 in one go, after deducting taxes, but the man preferred the first option to ensure that he would receive a stable monthly income for three decades.
