After the decision of the International Court… Will the judiciary and the security services dare to arrest Hezbollah criminals?

After the International Tribunal for Salim Ayyash, a member of Hezbollah, was convicted in December of the year 2020, for the assassination of the martyr Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, the court today annulls the acquittal verdict of Hassan Merhi and Hussein Oneissi and convicts them of the following crimes:

  • A conspiracy aimed at committing a terrorist act
  • Intentionally interfering with the murder
  • Interfering with the crime of intentional attempted murder

The court also issued arrest warrants for them. Hezbollah, the incubator of these criminals, sanctifies them within its environment and refrains from handing them over to the judiciary.

This means that the three criminals are released, having fun, and bragging about their actions in front of the security services, which are standing idly by, unable to implement a warrant for their arrest.

How will the political parties oppose to Hezbollah deal with this issue?

If, without any reasonable doubt, Hezbollah has become the first and last suspect in the Rafik Hariri assassination case, and the image of the gang executing this operation is completed, will the day come when we see the picture of the three accused behind bars?
