The Boi-Bumba festival in the Brazilian Amazon has kicked off to celebrate colours, music and folklore after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus.

And the Amazonian city of Parintins hosted its 55th Folk Festival, an annual tradition that celebrates a local legend about a revived bull with a competition between two teams, who must win by putting on colorful, curated displays of feathers outfitted with exotic shapes to bring to life Amazonian themes and mythology.
