It seems that the diesel shortage crisis has been solved, after the oil facilities in Tripoli and Zahrani returned to pumping this fuel into the local markets. Informed sources indicated to “Sawt Beirut International’ that these facilities have always secured approximately 30% of the market’s need, as they are a guarantee of social security, and those responsible for securing the dollar for importing diesel, cannot suspend their work again, especially since this substance is more than vital for heating. and to produce electrical energy.
The sources appealed to officials in the government and parliament to take into consideration the issue of customs duties on gasoline after approving the budget, and to adopt an exchange rate for customs duties instead of 1500 pounds.
