Banque du Liban has a bombshell for gasoline suppliers and stations

The Banque du Liban continues to issue surprising statements, and today’s surprise was for the fuel sector, this exhausted sector plagued by mismanagement and blind circulars, as stated in the statement issued by the fuel distributors in response to the circular issued by the Banque du Liban, which obligated the fuel distributors and stations to pay 15% of the invoice value in cash in dollars.
George Brax, a member of the Gas Stations Owners Syndicate, joins us to discuss this issue.

Recently, transmission stations belonging to Alfa Company have been subjected to planned  theft operations, which cause damages that negatively affect the performance of the network, and result in a complete or partial interruption of Internet services for thousands of subscribers.
Generators, batteries, gasoline, and alternative energy systems are frequently targeted by thieves. Because of the purposeful sabotage of the phone network, these are crimes punishable by law, and Alfa Company takes the required legal and judicial actions for every theft that happens. As a result, the Ministry of Telecommunications urged security and judicial authorities to be tough in battling this phenomena and to prioritize this issue, considering the huge harm done to the network, subscribers, public funds, and the national economy.
