Beirut drowning again in its own waste

Rubbish is again accumulating on some Beirut streets, and piling up in each neighborhood and surrounding areas in scenes reminiscent of the 2015 trash crisis.

Lebanon’s garbage crisis dating back to years ago is no longer news in Lebanon, amid total absence to fixes by the government.

Governor of Beirut Marwan Abboud created teams to help the contractor, Ramco Company, to remove piled garbage from the streets in order to avoid harmful emissions.

The Lebanese have not yet forgotten their suffering during the recent waste crisis, hoping that a sleepy country will tackle this crisis before it is too late.
