Biden calls on US Congress to raise age of weapon possession to 21

Random shootings continue to plague the United States of America. Following the incidents in New York, Texas, and Oklahoma in recent weeks, a man shot and killed two ladies in the parking lot of an Iowa church before committing suicide.

In Wisconsin, a gunman opened fire on a throng of people attending a funeral, injuring many people while fleeing.
Hours before the two latest occurrences, US President Joe Biden called on the US Congress to raise the age of assault weapon possession from 18 to 21 if lawmakers in Congress are unable to reinstate the entire prohibition on such rifles, which was suspended in 2004.
