Clarification and apology from “Abu Shafiq Online” program about the confusion that occurred regarding Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased by him.

Media broadcaster Wissam Sabbagh, presenter of  “Abu Shafiq Online” program via “Sawt Beirut International”, confirmed that during yesterday’s episode, a misstep occurred that should be clarified, and said, “A wise person does not deny the greatness of just Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab personality  , whose love and stature are in everyone’s hearts, for his justice, wisdom and courage. The fact of what happened yesterday through mentioning the name of the just Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased by  him, among the questions of the program by mistake, was not at all intended to disparage our master Omar, but on the contrary, just the opposite, no one can bid on our love and appreciation for our Islamic and historical symbols. .

He added, “What happened when the call was received and the caller asked for possibilities to help in her answer, and as a slip of a tongue, the name of our master Omar bin al-Khattab was mentioned, with no disparage intention, God forbids. Nevertheless, if an unintended mistake has been said  by our program’s guest, against the great companion Omar bin Al-Khattab, then we apologize for that, and remember his saying that God has a servant who slays the falsehood by abandoning Him and revives the truth by mentioning Him.

For his part, the artist Fadi Harb assured that “whoever followed the episode knows how spontaneous and automatic it was and how its aim was  to pave the way  for participants to increase their winning chances,  I was very enthusiastic, and what happened was a slip of the tongue while we were live on air. I apologize. As a person and as an artist, I respect all religious symbols and religious figures, and whoever knows me knows that I was raised in a home of believers who respect all religions and religious figures. ”He added,“ This year, for the first time, I presented a song about the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan. Harb reiterated his apology, and concluded by saying:” A blesses Ramadan be upon us and you and the whole Islamic and Arab nation.”
