Do Lebanese officials truly care about people’s miseries?

Lebanon is in peril. All of the challenges arise at the same time. From the complete lack of electricity to the near-complete lack of water. And, in the midst of both crises, the loaf of bread is endangered, not only by the high price, but also by a scarcity of wheat.

If we were to list all of the issues and crises, the explanation would be lengthy and difficult. We merely stopped at three fundamental human needs to demonstrate how badly the people of Lebanon suffer on all levels! But what are our authorities up to? Do they even care?

Yesterday, instead of focusing on their personal lives and how to deal with crises, Lebanese watched the Prime Minister’s movement and ascension to Baabda, then the war of sources and counter-sources that erupted between the media outlets of the Republican Palace and the Free Patriotic Movement on the one hand, and President Najib Mikati’s media outletn on the other.

Everything spoken is sad because it is framed by minor conflicts, battles that the Lebanese are tired of and have paid a great price for.

When will authorities comprehend that what is necessary is the formation of a cabinet as soon as possible?
