Like most sectors in Lebanon that have moved towards the dollarization of their prices, supermarkets will also begin to dollarize their goods, by adopting pricing in dollars, provided that the Ministry of Economy issues the new mechanism used, the most important of which is to announce the exchange rate approved at the entrance of commercial stores, according to what was announced by the Minister of Economy, Amin Salam. , announcing that a clear mechanism will be put in place around pricing in dollars, and accordingly, supermarkets put the exchange rate every day on their door and clearly in front of the citizen.
Legally, this step is considered non-violating, if the pricing is done in dollars, but the violation of the law is by forcing the consumer to pay in dollars.
