A South Korean Defense Ministry official said that Seoul and Washington fired several missiles toward the sea off the coast of South Korea this morning, a day after North Korea launched a barrage of short-range ballistic missiles.
The armies of South Korea and the United States of America launched eight surface-to-surface missiles at quarter past five in the morning for a period of ten minutes, in response to Korea’s launch.
The North received a similar number of missiles yesterday.
North Korea’s launch of short-range ballistic missiles into the sea off its east coast is likely to be its biggest single test, and comes a day after South Korea and the United States ended joint military exercises.
