The attorneys of the Former Minister of Public Works and Transport Youssef Fenianos has filed a “legitimate suspicious” lawsuit against the Judicial Investigator Judge Tarek Bitar as expected.

This lawsuit is likely to be followed by another one filed by the two ministers, Nohad Machnouk and Ali Hassan Khalil.

The lawsuit has annoyed the families of the victims, who were frustrated the first time with the withdrawal of the file from Judge Fadi Sawan’s hands, and then from the flagrant political interference in Bitar’s investigations, who has lately was threatened by Hezbollah.

The people said that the main reason was mentioned by the lawyers of Fenianos is that Bitar has accused in a discretionary manner only 5 people. The case dealt with Judge Bitar’s refusal to take an opinion on the Court of Cassation examinations.

The families added that the lawyers said that the immunity of lawyers is mentioned in the lawsuit, and Minister Fenianos is a lawyer, in addition to refusing to give a deadline to respond to the decision to reject the formal defenses. Finally, one of the reasons also was the impact of the people’s cry on the psyche and decisions of the judge.
