France donates 50 buses to Lebanon

France today presented a gift to the Lebanese people, which consisted of successive numbers of buses, the first of which were fifty, and expressed its willingness to stand by Lebanon in developing the transport sector.

The Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamiyah, indicated that the buses are owned by the Lebanese state and will be in the custody of the Railways and Joint Transport Authority, which also performs its role in terms of maintaining some of the 45 existing and discontinued buses.
