Fuel prices decrease slightly

The price of the dollar fell today in Lebanon, again, during trading this morning, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in the parallel market. The price of the dollar ranged between 28,500 – 28,550 Lebanese pounds for every one dollar.

In the context, a member of the Syndicate of Fuel Owners, Dr. George Al-Barraks, explained to Voice of Beirut International, that “a new table of fuel prices was issued today in light of the stability of the dollar exchange rate, according to the approved exchange platform for importing gasoline at 24900 pounds, and a slight decrease of 525 pounds in the dollar exchange rate, according to the approved free market for diesel and gas, which calculated 28,475 instead of 29,000 pounds.

He pointed out that “the table showed stability in the price of imported diesel, as the kiloliter increased by only one dollar, which led to a decline in the price of the platen 13,000 pounds to 738,000 pounds due to the decline in the exchange rate.” He pointed out that, “With regard to gasoline, the price of an imported kiloliter decreased by approximately 14 dollars, which led to a decline in the price of the plate by 8000 pounds only to 679,000 pounds due to the stability of the exchange rate. As for the gas bottle, it decreased by 10,000 pounds.”
