Funerals held in Lebanon’s Tripoli after migrant shipwreck

A woman from the Sammak family, one of the victims of the boat disaster, and her daughter were buried in Tripoli’s Mosque amid gunfire.

A tragic scene occurred in the capital of the miserable, which was not satisfied with the title of the poorest on the Mediterranean coast, but its sons became the most in demand for illegal immigration trips fueled by severe collapses that put the Lebanese and the afflicted of the city in front of a lethal equation: Hell is behind you and the sea is ahead.

A trip to the land of dreams was swallowed up by the sea, so will the death boat derail the May 15th parliamentary elections?
