The University of Texas experienced a once-in-a-lifetime event earlier this month when an 88-year-old grandpa and his 23-year-old granddaughter graduated on the same day, with two different majors.
According to the information, the grandpa, who is a spouse and father of five children as well as a bank employee, had previously registered for the first time at the university seven decades ago but was unable to complete his studies due to unforeseen circumstances. A university diploma is required. The daughter earned a bachelor’s degree in communications after years of hard work, while her grandfather earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.
