Minister of Labor, Mustafa Bayram, announced that he will soon launch the work of the Index Committee, to look into managing workers’ salaries and wages in the private sector, which had stopped its meetings since 2014.

Noting that this committee includes the three production parties: the government, employers and labor.

Informed sources told “Sawt Beirut International” that the index committee will hold its first meeting next week, and there are many proposals regarding increasing wages.
