American pop star Britney Spears has married her fiance, an Iranian-born fitness trainer and actor, Sam Asgari.

The move comes seven months after Spears dumped a legal guardianship she said was preventing her from getting married.

And the marriage took place last Thursday night in a ceremony in California that was limited to close friends and a number of stars, including Madonna, Paris Hilton, and Drew Barrymore.

Donatella Versace designed the wedding dress. In an attempt to spoil the party, Britney’s ex-husband Jason Alexander broke into the venue before police arrested him. Alexander married his childhood friend Spears in 2004, but the marriage lasted only 55 hours.
A police spokesman said Alexander “had access to the property but was confronted by the police and arrested”.

And in the video, which he posted on Instagram, Alexander appeared at Spears’ home looking for her, before he went to the wedding tent, which was witnessing the final touches.

Alexander claimed that Spears had invited him to attend, saying, “She is my first, and only, wife.”
