The 88th edition of the traditional Lemon Festival has been launched in France, which continues until the 27th of this month, with spectacular fireworks display every Thursday.
During the festival, which dates back to the nineteenth century, the participants prepared huge statues and giant figures decorated with different types of lemons and oranges.
The idea of the festival dates back to 1895, when the surplus production of oranges and lemons prompted the French to think of using its harvest to embody the most prominent archaeological areas and tourist attractions.
