Hundreds dead and injured in Afghanistan earthquake

More than a thousand people were killed, and more than 1,500 injured, in a devastating earthquake that struck the city of Khost in southeastern Afghanistan.
The earthquake, with a magnitude of six, one interval, also led to severe material damage, as hundreds of inhabited buildings and homes were destroyed, especially in Paktika province.
The earthquake was located at a distance of forty-four kilometers from the city of Khost, and at a depth of fifty-one kilometers, as it was felt by about one hundred and nineteen million people in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
