Israeli missile attack has killed two civilians and left material damage on the outskirts of the capital, Damascus.
Israel carried out the attack at about 5 am on Monday, hitting positions south of Damascus, Syria’s official SANA news agency said citing a military source.
The Syrian air defense forces intercepted the missiles, downing most of them in Damascus.
During the past years, Israel launched hundreds of air strikes in Syria against sites of the Syrian regime army, Iranian, and other Hezbollah targets, but the pace of these strikes has increased in recent weeks.
