Khattar Abu Diab to SBI: Lebanon will not be granted free gifts, Mikati’s government is for crisis management

Once Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced his visit to Paris to meet the French President Emanuel Macron analysis emerged among Lebanese and talks arose about an international conference that would secure about $8 billion in support for Lebanon. However, this optimism has vanished after President Mikati left the Elysee Palace.

In light of the accelerating tough circumstances that Paris is experiencing, especially the tense relations with Washington and the French presidential elections that approached, will Lebanon enter an international coma?

The acceleration of events has certainly postponed most of the rescue measures dedicated for Lebanon, but without allowing it to fall dramatically.
