Kyiv in the crosshairs of the Russian bombing

A summit of the Group of Seven major industrialized countries kicked off in the Alps, which is expected to end with a ban on the import of Russian gold, before another summit of NATO leaders expected on Tuesday in Madrid.

On the ground, the Russian forces intensified their strikes on residential areas in the center of the capital, Kyiv, since the early hours of the morning, which led to the fall of a number of wounded, while rescue teams worked to extricate residents, including a seven-year-old girl, from under the rubble of their homes that were destroyed above their heads. .

Ukraine said that Russia bombed Kyiv with winged missiles, causing large areas of destruction and a massive fire in a nine-storey residential complex, in the first attack on Kyiv since early June.
