A rare white diamond was sold for a staggering price of $21.8 million at the end of the public auction at Christie’s auction house in Geneva, Switzerland.
The diamond, known as “The Rock”, is the largest white diamond known to auctions, and it was sold within minutes of the auction.
This gemstone was mined in South Africa in the early 2000s. It is 5.4 centimeters long, 3.1 centimeters wide, and weighs 61.3 grams.
