The Information Division of the Internal Security Forces thwarted a terrorist plot by a Takfiri network that was planning to detonate explosive vests, and carry out diversion operations targeting three civilian gathering sites. Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi announced that the network’s members are of Palestinian nationality, congratulating the heroes of the Internal Security Forces on this qualitative operation that spared Lebanon a lot of blood and victims.
