Youssef Ghemrawi is a Lebanese visual artist whose talent was discovered at a young age and was encouraged by his family to pursue it and therefore, he created masterpieces.
“I like diversity in drawing but I prefer classical drawings and quiet paintings which have deep meanings,” Ghemrawi said in an interview with Sawt Beirut International (SBI) reporter Ghassan Fran.
“I like to depict social issues and send out the messages that the people and the category representing me would like to convey,” he said.
“In the wake of the Beirut port explosion, all Lebanese felt desperate and everyone needed to express their emotions. I wanted to release my negative vibes and so I started drawing a painting about the explosion.”
He also noted that the admiration shown for his paintings is what essentially motivates him to pursue his talent, adding that he exposes his artworks through his social media accounts.
