Lebanese citizens’ mental, physical health in jeopardy, meals have turned poisonous

Besides psychological exhaustion and mental breakdown, insomnia, worry, and the fear of tomorrow, our Lebanese journals must now include the health degradation to which citizens are being exposed. Many experts warned of the dangers of various foods to human health once the diesel fuel was shut off and freezers were unable to keep foods, and in the absence of medications, prevention remains the only option.

Up until recently, our topmost priority was calories and fat percentages; now, all that we’re concerned about is the nutritional value of foods and their health benefits… All that we’re looking forward to achieving nowadays is “not to get ill” and “not to die”… Our dietary priorities have evolved, and it’s possible that our “passion for the country” has as well. We will also bring with us a new, unpolluted political elite.
