Lebanese expatriates are striving to support citizens

The Lebanese Diaspora, which have always powered the economy by transferring billions of dollars to their families, are striving today to send basic commodities and medicines in support to their families and friends.

More than 70 percent of the Lebanese have become below the poverty line, amid the stifling economic and financial meltdown, as well as the devaluation of the lira. This reality has urged people to write on their social media platforms posts appealing to expatriates to send basic goods such as milk, diapers, painkillers, and coffee, to the need people who are struggling to obtain it.

Confident and trust in the Lebanese authorities has vanished, while expatriates are taking the initiative to support Lebanese and send them aid on their own expense.

What Lebanon and its people have reached today, was a result of the corruption of a ruling and controlling political class in various respects. Will this country be able to get rid of its tormentors.
