To escape Russian military operations in Ukraine, six lions and six tigers were evacuated from an area near Kyiv to a zoo in Poland, after a two-day journey on the battle lines and in the face of Russian tanks.

A spokeswoman for the zoo said that the lions and tigers, in addition to two wild cats and a wild dog, will receive the necessary care at the Poznan Zoo.
