Marathon session to elect committees

Today, the Parliament witnessed a marathon session to elect parliamentary committees, which was described as the longest since 1992, after it used to be fast thanks to prior understandings. But today, the settlements and quota deals failed, forcing a marathon election session for some parliamentary committees.

After the lunch break, the session resumed at 6:00 pm today, noting that during the morning session, the deputies agreed on a number of committees: media, women and children, youth and sports, foreign affairs and expatriates. Representatives also elected members of the Finance, Budget, Administration and Justice Committees.
