The Ministry of Labor announced the issuance of the decree, which added an amount of one million and 325 thousand pounds to the minimum wage for workers in the private sector, provided that it is declared to the Social Security, which annually generates one thousand and one hundred billion pounds.
This small amount is only a step forward in the process of redressing the workers after the transfer allowance and education grants that were previously approved. Sources indicated to Sawt Beirut International that the Index Committee will keep pace with the increasingly difficult developments, and keep its meetings open, with the focus currently on improving and increasing the transportation allowance.
