Last Wednesday, the Ministry of Energy issued a price table that will go down in history because it records the first steps of the Banque du Liban’s abandonment of securing the dollar for oil companies, and therefore the Banque du Liban demanded that these companies insure 10% of the price of gasoline in dollars.

This percentage will increase according to the information of Sawt Beirut International every week, which prompted the Ministry of Energy to issue a new price schedule on Friday morning, and according to the information of Sawt Beirut International, the schedule will be issued twice a week.

According to the information, the sale of gasoline has decreased by 50% because the price of a can of gasoline is equal to half the minimum wage, but will the prices stop at this limit?

The problem is not only in the price of gas cans, but in the exchange rate of the dollar, and according to the information, it has no ceiling because oil importing companies will inevitably go to the black market, which means an increase in the exchange rate.
