The 75th Cannes Film Festival opened with a video message by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who appealed to world cinema to oppose the war on his country.

The festival was launched with the participation of a large crowd of stars, two years after its organization, in light of strict health measures due to the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.
On the opening night, actor Forest Whitaker received an honorary Palme d’Or award for his overall work. The festival will continue until the twenty-eighth of this month, and will include the screening of a number of the most famous Hollywood films, among them Top gun and Elvis.
